MINING CLAIMS
BROMIDE BASIN CLAIMS
In September 2001, UNICO announced the lease acquisition of fully permitted
six (6) patented mining claims and twenty-one (21) located mining claims comprising
in all over 400 acres of Bromide Basin in the Henry Mountain Mining District located
in Garfield County, Utah. The company agreed to terms with Kaibab Industries of
Phoenix, Arizona and signed a 3-year lease with an option to purchase for $1 million
at any time during the term of the lease.
The lease terms are for a straight 5% net-smelter-return royalty. During the
period from June 10th to November 20th, the terms call for a minimum work commitment
of mining 1,000 tons or producing 1,000 ounces of gold per month. In addition
UNICO, receives full use of all equipment and machinery that comes with the property,
which collectively are valued at over $125,000 and are included in the purchase
option.
Based on a test lot of ore (one ton) taken from the Henrietta Mine, one of
the mines within the leased properties, produced over 2 ounces of gold. Management
estimates that the gold content of the ores to be mined will average one (1) ounce
per ton. UNICO plans to conduct more geological surveys and resource definition
work while mining and shipping from the newly leased properties. The ore will
be processed at the Deer Trail Mill located only 150 miles from the leased properties.
